What Makes a House a Home

Being engineer's, we don't just remodel a house, we completely gut the entire contents of a house... and we do it all ourselves.  Our house had an in-laws house attached in two locations of our house that we closed and made into it's own rental unit.

Our Home

This is our home.  We live in an old Buffalo home built around 1900.  We started the remodel process on the third floor of our house.  The house was built with lath and plaster and no insulation.  The entire third floor was gutted, all the floor and ceiling beams were sistered, we replaced and created bigger windows and sprayed foamed everything, which has been worth its weight in gold.   There were five rooms which we removed and replaced with a den, game room and a bathroom.   Follow along as we just start finishing all the trim and woodwork we designed and continue on the bathroom construction.
